Sorry no posts for awhile. May saw no racing for me but Ed finished off April in style by doing the Grind on the greenway trails 6 hour mountain bike race in South Cakilacky only a week after the Ocho and got 3rd in his class!! THEN the very next weekend did the Cohutta 100 and easily finished under the 10 hour mark!!!! I didn’t make cohutta cause I HAD to go to Scotland on vacation! May was light for racing options, with 12 hours of Tsali looking like the best option. Well, ed finally ran himself down and got sick, I decided to save up for something else down the road, but our newest member- still not sure if he has raced in the black jersey- Sean went and stomped it down real good. Won SS by a whole lap and was 3rd overall solo!!! He is the real deal- hopefully I can hang on his wheel if we race together, cause he will be flying!! Been riding tons and just had a stretch of 9 days in a row of riding finished off with spending memorial day at Dupont state forest. Awesome! Lumberjack 100 is in 2 weeks up in Michigan, with myself, ed and sean making the trip. Should be great and cooler than here! July is gonna be stupid- iron mtn., ORAMM and wilderness 101!! Stay tuned.

We got after it big time this past Sunday at the OCHO 8 hour race, panther creek style. Team Ed represented with Stegall, Kaycee, Derek, ED, and myself rocking the coolest black jerseys EVER! Great day, even with one muddy section of trail and the FIELD! Thanks to Dave for a great event and thanks to those of the local mountain bike community that understand and support the most fun and best way to race a mountain bike EVER!

It’s done. Finally. It’s super crappy outside. On my way to Norris!

It has begun. It seems early cause it is, but I found us a 6 hour race to do (on a Sunday) over in Danville,Va. Awesome trails, perfect weather, and with that the 2011 team ed racing campaign has begun. BTW, that’s Ed on the podium – 3rd place in 40+ 6 hour!!!!!

You all know what is was like outside yesterday. Just under 50 miles of Big South Fork goodness Team Ed style. So nice!!!

Rounds 3 and 4 of Knoxiecross happened and sad to say myself and Mr. Bacon could not attend, however the “young guns” of the Zoo were there and are fired up to make it happen again this weekend. Should be good old-fashioned fun and suffering! Stay tuned for the last rounds from Morningside park, as…
Local cyclocross racing started this weekend (thanks for the inspiration Tarik) and the racing was fantastic as always. Sounds like Saturday was fun as our own Steve Bacon went and mixed it up with the masters for a fantastic 3rd place- especially given he had a flat and had to wait a little for a…
So those truly hardcore followers of the original Team Ed Racing blog- all 16 of them- now have been redirected here where all the magic happens. If you are new or old, the story probably is worth re-telling seeing as how it’s a new year and all and I haven’t done much posting in awhile…
